Dr. J. Hooper Williams

Dr. Williams joined Looking Glass Eye Center in August, 2011 after 23 years of solo private practice in Brevard and Hendersonville. As a native of Harriman, TN, he received his B.S. degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. He holds a Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, where he graduated as Class President. Dr. Williams completed externships under Dr. Kenneth W. Brawner in Goodlettsville, TN and Captain Steven Schoemer, OD on Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He has participated in medical mission trips to rural South Georgia and Belize.
 

Dr. Williams and his wife Kimberly, a dedicated school teacher, have 3 children, Allie, Olin and Lei. In addition to his memberships in the American Optometric Association, North Carolina State Optometric Society and Mountain District Optometric Society, his interest revolve around his family, church and community.
 

As an Optometrist, Dr. Hooper Williams practices primary eye care for children and adults of all ages. He has extensive training and experience in the application of lenses for the correction of visual deficiencies and contact lens fitting. He diagnoses and treats eye disease and injury and provides prescreening and counseling for surgical candidates.
