Dr. Craig Secosan (Emeritus)

dr-craig-secosan-mdDr. Craig Secosan is a retired General Ophthalmologist. He specialized in small incision-no stitch, cataract surgery. He has extensive experience in managing glaucoma, diabetes as it relates to the eye and macular degeneration.

 

Dr. Secosan is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He received his B.A. degree summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and served an internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his eye residency at Barnes Hospital, Washington University in St. Louis.

 

Dr. Secosan is a Fellow of the American Academy Board of Ophthalmology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has been a member of the Western North Carolina Ophthalmology Society and the North Carolina Ophthalmology Society, the AMA and the North Carolina Medical Society.
