Dr. Daniel Yoder

dr-daniel-m-yoder-mdDr. Daniel Yoder is a Board Certified vitreoretinal specialist who also practices comprehensive ophthalmology. He has fellowship training in diseases of the macula, retina and vitreous. In addition to performing the latest in small incision-no stitch-no shot cataract surgery — including multifocal implants and toric/astigmatism-correcting implants (e.g., Acrysof Toric), Dr. Yoder also has extensive experience managing macular degeneration, diabetes as it relates to the eye, retinal vein occlusions (RVO), and hypertension (high blood pressure) as it relates to the eye. He has administered thousands of intravitreal injections (e.g., Avastin, Lucentis, Eylea) and retinal laser procedures.

 

Dr. Yoder grew up in Indiana and Iowa. He received his B.S. degree summa cum laude with a double major in biology and chemistry from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR. He obtained his M.D. degree from Duke Medical School in Durham, NC. After finishing his internship in Roanoke, VA, Dr. Yoder completed both his ophthalmology residency and retina fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL, which is consistently ranked as the number one training program in the country.

 

Dr. Yoder is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is married and has three children. He is active in his church, multiple community organizations, and enjoys a host of sports and outdoor activities.
